BLOGGING
It is harder than I thought. A lot of people think blogging is just constantly taking pictures in cute outfits and Instagrammable locations but, this could not be any further from the truth. No one talks about the cost of travelling to these Instagrammable locations, the cost of clothes and the pressure of having to quickly wear and post them on Instagram while they are still in stock. Blogging is a very fast paced industry and you have to keep up with the latest trends and be very consistent when posting on your social media outlets. Sometimes, I feel like I am only as good as my last post and this is very difficult to deal with. Balancing blogging when you have 2 or 3 other commitments in your life like me can be challenging. What I have learnt is to never compare myself to anyone and to always plan in advance. It takes a lot of work to become a full time blogger in this competition filled environment but with lots of hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS
Ohh I would love to get into some nitty gritty details about my lessons this year concerning love and relationships but, that’s just not who I am so I am only going to say LOVE IS NOT PAIN!
SELF CARE
It is extremely important to take care of yourself. When I say self care, I mean deep emotional and mental self care. This year I concentrated so much on catering to other peoples needs and feelings, and changing myself just to please others. In the process, I totally forgot who I am and what I stand for. There is nothing wrong in being there for others but, what about you? Sometimes you need to shut out all the noise and concentrate on yourself, take care of your heart and allow yourself to be vulnerable and patiently deal with your feelings. How you feel emotionally reflects on you physically and this impacts on your health so, take some time out and be there for yourself and always remind yourself that you are valuable and worthy of LOVE, CARE and RESPECT.

FINANCES
I cannot express enough how important it is to save. I have really bad spending habits but this year has taught me that it is very important to put a little money away for rainy days. Do not live beyond your means but, it can be tough to save especially if you are a shopaholic like me bu,t there are several resources online that have very useful advice on money saving tips.
KNOW YOUR CIRCLE
Who you interact with everyday is very important. Sometimes you share your dreams and aspirations with people and they act like they are supporting you but alas, they turn around and use everything you have ever shared with them against you. This year I have learnt that people like it when you are doing well but never when you do better than them. I do not want to sound too pessimistic but I have experienced subtle put downs, mini victories when I fail and total disappearances from some people I considered to be close to me. Sometimes the person closest to your turns out to be your biggest secret hater. This hurts a lot but ultimately, discovering this has made me more wiser in picking my circle. Keep things to yourself and pay attention to how people react when you are going through tough times.Separate yourself from anyone who refuses to believe in you and your worth.

Do not ever wait to start enjoying your life. Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget how to enjoy those little moments in life. Life is too short, so take that risk, book that trip on your bucket-list, have that last piece of cheesecake, buy those Louboutins lol. Grab any opportunity for you to keep learning, appreciate every moment and love harder. As the year is coming to a close, I just want to thank anyone who comes and reads my blog. To anyone who has supported me this year, I love and appreciate you. From the comments to the the likes and the messages of encouragement, it is all acknowledged and I do not take it for granted. I wish you all a blessed new year filled with lots of joy, good health and love!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
